Billing is configured via different areas in the administration. In the administration in the area of financial functions and in the job groups via the menu option Billing. In the financial functions area, the memory bands are configured and the prices per organization are set.
Memory bands are defined by the customer in the job costing profile and in the statistics. In ONTRAM, lower limits for memory matches are defined. Our recommendation here is 60% as the minimum limit for a memory match. Then the project manager must determine which word prices apply to which memory band. Different prices can be set for each target language.
Memory bands can also be defined in the statistics, but here they are evaluated on a percentage basis.
The determination of these percentages results in the calculated text amount displayed in the statistics.
Note: The properties configured under Statistics (Calculation) have no effect on billing. The memory bands from the user's job costing profiles are used for settlement.
Currently, the memory bands from the job group settings in the menu option "Statistics" (Billing) are evaluated in the statistics, therefore the memory bands set here should match those from the price lists.
In ONTRAM, all text amounts are calculated when the job is created and listed in the statistics according to the memory bands set in the job group in the menu option Statistics (Billing). To configure price lists and job costing profiles, you need the authorizations Billing: Display Financial Functions, Billing: Display Job costing Profiles, and Billing: Display Price List Overview. In the administration in the menu item Financial functions, costs for different time and word units are configured via Job costing profiles and price lists. Different price lists can be created for all organizations created in ONTRAM.
Note: The memory bands are also defined in the job costing profile.
