Markers on the source language segment

Icons will be displayed at the source language segment to simplify the translation and to use the correct terminology. By clicking the icons most of the texts can be taken over to the target language segments. For some texts a colored mark is displayed at the target language segment.

Icon Name Description
100% TM matches

The icon will be displayed, if the content of the source language segment matches 100% to a text of the translation memory and the translation is preset.

Fuzzy matches

The icon will be displayed, if the content of the source language segment is similar to a tranblated text from the Translation Memory. How similar this fuzzy match will be, can be set. The default value is 60%.

(preallocated)

If the job is configured in such a way that fuzzy matches with a defined minimum similarity are automatically preallocated, a yellow icon is displayed. A yellow marker is displayed accordingly on the target language segment.

Fuzzy match partial
memory

If the job is configured to use the partial memory, the icon is displayed inversely with a grey frame.

Repetition

The icon will be displayed, if the same source language content occurs several times in the job and if one of these texts has been translated previously. A light blue marking is displayed on the target language segment.

Update match

The icon will be displayed, if an update match from a reference job is available. A dark blue marking is displayed on the target language segment.

Text Pool

The icon is displayed if there is a match for the segment in the text pool. A purple marker is displayed on the target language segment.

Note: Texts from the text pool cannot be taken over into the target language by clicking on the icon.

Machine translation

The icon will be displayed, if there is a match in the machine translation for the segment. A yellow marker is displayed on the target language segment.

Reference to placeholders If the segment contains placeholders, there is a note to copy the placeholders to the desired position in the target language.
Adopt source language

The icon is always displayed. By clicking on the icon, the source language content is adopted to the target language segment.

 

De- or activate markers on target language segment

  1. Log into a job.
  2. click in the functionbar.
  3. Activate or deactivate show preallocation markers in the column target language

Result: The colored marker is displayed or not displayed on the target language segment accordingly.
