QA checks examine on behalf of the user whether the processing violates defined rules. The quality checks are carried out automatically during a transfer. Errors and warnings are displayed before the transfer. If the QA check has been configured for the workflow, it is also available in the online editor as a segment filter.

Description |
Segments with text overruns |
All segments that exceed the maximum text length will be highlighted. To assign a segment a maximum text length, the segment in question must be assigned the attribute Size="X" in the XINI. In place of the X, enter the desired value for the maximum text length.
|
Without target language entry |
If the segment does not contain a translation in the target language and the empty entry (<e>) was not activated either, this QA Check highlights the corresponding segments. |
Target language = Source language |
Compares the segments of the target language with the source language segments. If they are equal, they will be highlighted. |
Non-reviewed change requests |
The QA check proofs if change request were taken into account and highlights segments with non proofed change requests. |
Missing placeholders |
The source language segment is searched for placeholders and compared with the segment of the target language. With this QA check ONTRAM detects whether the placeholders in the source language segment are also contained in the target language segments, and whether the placeholders appear in the same sequence.
|
Structure errors |
The target language segments are checked for structure errors. Structure errors are incorrect nested placeholders. |
Nested superscripts and subscripts |
This feature checks for nested sub- and superscript formatting in the target language segments. This means that a single word has been marked as super- and subscript which may lead to faulty formatting. |
Numbers and number format |
Checks whether a number from the source language is also available in the target language and whether the correct decimal and thousand separator has been used for the translation (depending on the target language). |
Unaccepted author's corrections |
This QA Check checks whether author's corrections were adopted. Author's corrections that have not been adopted are highlighted by this QA check.
|
Unedited fuzzy TM suggestions |
The QA check marks segments that are pre-translated by Fuzzy-TM and have not been modified. |
Terminology not used |
Checks whether the proposed terminology has been used in the target language segment. |
Text consistency: Same translation for different source text |
Checks whether there are several identical translations for different source texts within the job. |
Text consistency:Different translation for same source text |
Checks if there are several different translations for the same source text within the job. |
Result: The number of errors and warnings will be displayed.
Result: The errors and warnings are displayed in the Edit View between the source language and the target language.
Note: Select if you want to edit each QA Check category individually or if you want to display the "Total result of all QA checks".
Result: Once all errors have been corrected and all warnings checked, the job can be transferred.
