Setting up jobs from files (bulk job creation)

With Bulk Job generation you can create multiple Jobs simultaneously with an identical filter profile. A Content part is automatically generated and assigned to each Job part. The Content parts to be created must all be located in a folder on the server where ONTRAM has been installed. The folder can be selected in the settings for Jobs and Job Groups.

Configuration of the Bulk Job Creation

  1. Click Administration > Jobs .
  2. Click a Job Group.
  3. If it is a job group, click in the toolbar.
  4. Click additional settings.
  5. In the Own Value column selct the import directory.
  6. Click in the toolbar.

Result: The import directory for the bulk job creation has been defined. If you have questions about the directory name, contact your system administrator.

Create jobs with bulk job creation

  1. Click Administration > Jobs .
  2. Click a Job Group.
  3. Click Bulk job Creation in the function bar.
  4. Edit the settings.
  5. Click Start job creation .

Result: The Import folder is searched and the existing documents are automatically placed into individual Jobs.

Note: To create orders with the bulk job creation, the import directory for the bulk job creation must be entered in the job group settings.

Settings in the bulk job creation

Setting Description
Job name

Name of the job. The way the Job name is used depends on the configuration of the Filter Profile.

Type Description
Multi File Each Content part is created separately as an individual Job. Each Job is named according to the name of the ZIP file of the corresponding Content part.
Single File All Content parts are combined in a Job with only one Content part. The Job name used is the one you selected during bulk Job generation.
Filter Profile Filter Profile matching to the content part.
Source Language

The source language of the content parts.

Note: If the source language is set in the documents themselves, the selected source language will be overwritten.

Textpool Import Parameters

Determines how translations are imported from the Textpool.

Parameter Explanation
OFF None of the segments will be allocated texts from the Textpool.
Filters Existing translations from the Textpool are preallocated to the corresponding segments and filtered out of the Job. These segments are not displayed during Job editing.
ALL Existing translations from the Textpool are preallocated to the corresponding segments and are displayed during Job editing.
ALL READONLY Existing translations from the Textpool are preallocated to the corresponding segments and are displayed during Job editing. The user cannot change the preallocated target language segments.
Target Languages

The selected languages are being created for each Job Part.

Note: If the target language is determined in the documents itself, the selected target language will be overwritten.
