With the substitution feature, users can be defined who substitute other users when they are absent.

The substitute can use the system with the same user rights as the main user he is replacing. He can create translation Jobs, assign Jobs to translators, start approval processes and perform quality checks. He receives status reports and warnings about missed deadlines just like any other regular user. Emails, sent to the main user, are also sent to the substitute via CC.

Concatenation of substitutes is possible, i.e. if the substitute is unavailable, too, the translation work flow may still proceed undisrupted.

Assigning substitutes to a user

  1. Click Administration > User Administration > User Accounts.
  2. Click beside a user.
  3. Click one or more users while holding down the CTRL or CMD key in the Substitution area.
  4. Click Assign.
  5. Click in the toolbar.

Result: Substitutes were assigned to the user.
