ONTRAM offers several Search functions for searching within Jobs. For all Search functions, the search is opened in a separate window section next to the normal view. Use the slide control to make the Search mask larger or smaller, or click on the arrows in the middle of the border to move the section to the edge of the display.
With the search you can search for words or strings in the order.
The search can be carried out either in the source or target language or in the metadata.
You can use the Search function to differentiate between upper and lower case letters when searching.
With the replace function you can search for words or strings in the job and then replace them with other words or strings.
With the Replace function, you can differentiate between upper and lower case letters when searching.
If you start the replace process by clicking the Search and Show Preview button, a preview of all segments found that match the search will open.
On the left is the source language, in the middle the change preview and on the right the target language.
Now you can decide for each segment whether it should really be replaced.
When searching for translations in other languages, you can use the Concordance search. The Concordance search scans through the translations of all Jobs to look for the entered search term. ONTRAM searches through all of the Jobs created within the same main group.
The TM browser supports searching the TM database.
All translations stored in the TM database can be found.
Via the Advanced Options menu, the search can be restricted to a job group, to unlocked entries, to the exact segment or a fuzzy search can be activated.
You can also search for specific terms in the terminology database.
